Time is flying by....

10 weeks old today....wow, where has time gone? I finally was able to buy Michael one of those play yard things that lay on the floor, and he loves it. There are a lot of little things to look at and hold on too. It's great, it keeps him entertained, and for some reason it tires him out and he falls asleep when we're done playing...good thing for Mom! I can't believe this is my last full week with him at home. I am officially going back to work next Tuesday. I will be making the 1 hour drive one way to Royal Oak, I think I'm crazy. However, I told them to make it worth my time and they did, which is great because we will be able to provide more for Michael. In less than one year we could be debt free, well, less the mortgage and car payments. We can also have enough money to build a deck next spring which will be a great thing to have.
It will be a hard adjustment to make at first, I just have to remember that I'm doing it for Michael and it will all be worth it.
This Saturday is his baptism. I am so thrilled to finally have this done. He already goes to church with me and does very well. I will just feel so much better having him baptized and starting him on the right path. I will also be 'confirmed' as a new member of the church. It's been a while since I've belonged! On that note, I have much to do around the house. Lots of cleaning and preparing to complete!

More to come....

2 Months Old!

I can't believe Michael is 2 months old already! We had his 2 month check up today and it went very well! He is now 12 lbs 3oz and 23 3/4 inches long. He is in the 75th percentile for weight, 60th percentile for length and 70th percentile for head circumfrance. He got two shots in his left leg and one in his right, and boy did he scream! It only lasted for a couple minutes though! He is doing great now and I think he's over being mad at me! We have to start getting him to lay his head to the left because his right side is getting a noticeable flat spot. Other than all of that, he is doing very well!

Woo Hoo!!

Finally....Michael is starting to sleep through the night! Wednesday night he slept for 9 hours straight, last night he did another 9 but not straight. He got up to eat around 4:30 but went back to bed at 5:30 and slept until 9. I feel so much better now. I don't feel so tired and I'm able to get a little done around the house as long as I get up before he does!

I got the announcements we ordered in the mail on Wednesday and they're already to go out, I just have to find some money to buy stamps! They turned out pretty good considering I took the picture myself. I really wanted one where he was awake and smiling, his smile just makes my heart melt.

I'm starting to get more actual work done now and may even be going back to work full time, that's still up in the air though. I'm going to have a very hard time not being with Michael all day as well as driving for 2+ hours every day. If they make it worth my time I just might do it. I'll keep you updated on that.

I can't believe my son is 6 weeks old already. Time as flown by, I can just imagine how fast the next 18 years will fly!

Love my bouncer!!

Michael and I have been having such a great time together! I just started putting him in one of his bouncers we received from our shower and he loves it! He's been so good, I got to take a shower yesterday morning and I got to work for an hour and a half today so far! I think he likes to sit up more than laying down because he can see more. Aunt Robin and Grandma Groeller have been coming out once a week so I can get some grocery shopping done which has been a huge help! I know they don't mind it because they get to see Michael so I don't feel so bad. Today we decided that Mommy isn't going back to work full time just yet. The money sounds really great and we could probably really use it, but spending my days with my son is so much more important.

We also finally got the date set for his baptism. We are doing it May 30, it will be a private baptism for family and friends. It wasn't really my first choice to do it privately, I really like when it is done during the church service. However, Mike wanted it done privately and it works out best for those who are traveling well over an hour to get here. As long as he gets baptized I'll be happy!

More to come.....

Here I am again, 3 months later! We had our baby boy on March 18, 2009. He was 8lbs 1oz and 21 inches long. He is my life, I love him so much. It's been a very long month but one of the best in my life. Here is my labor story:

My water broke at 11:32 p.m. on March 17th, literally 2 minutes after I had got into bed. My mom was staying with us that night because I had been having contractions during the day and Mike thought it would be a good idea for her to come out just in case. Good thing because sure enough right after my water broke my contractions were 3-5 minutes apart for an hour so we left for the hospital. Let me tell you, that was some of the worst pain I was ever in! Once we got to the hospital they hooked me up and gave me something for the pain. It didn't help. I think around 4:30 or so in the morning I still hadn't dialated past 4 cm but they decided to give me an epidural any way. Thank God, however the lady who did it took forever and told me I had too much bone in my back, WTF?? How can a person have too much bone!? She finally got it in and my pain was basically non-existant at that point. Around 9:30 they wanted to induce me since I still wasn't progressing so the started the Petocin. Michael's heart beat was already really low at that point and the petocin made it worse so they stopped that right away. My doctor then told me they had to do a C-section to get him out because of the heart beat. So, they prepped me and took me in and an hour later, at 10:34 they showed me my baby! It was the greatest moment of my life. Nothing can prepare you for that emotion, it was so great!

I had to stay in the hospital for three days, which was good because I was able to get a little rest. We brought Michael home that Saturday and I haven't gotten any sleep since! It's all so worth it though. I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world.

I know, I know

Yes, it's been about 3 months or so since I've updated, sorry! The pregnancy is going well. We're currently at 31 weeks. Only 9 weeks (or less) to go! We're very excited and can't wait. We are having a little boy and are going to name him after his daddy. We painted the room a beige color and put up some plain curtains. I'm thinking convenience for the long run here! This past weekend we ordered the crib, dresser, and armoire that his parents so graciously bought for us. It should come in within the next week or so. I'm in the process of getting the invites ready for the shower, yeah I had to make the invites for my own shower again. We completed our registry at Babies R Us, we hope we get what we need! Little Michael has been kicking a lot lately which always makes me feel better just knowing he's doing okay. I'm to the point where we go to the doctors every two weeks so that will make things go by much faster.

On the other hand, my Mary Kay business has been going great. They have great products which makes it so easy to sell them. I'm currently trying to complete a 14 day challenge and I'm confident I should be able to complete it! I had a great 2008 and I'm looking foward to an even better 2009. I'm going to try to update more often, it's harder than I thought!

I'll post some pics on my next update!

Updates and BIG News!!

Hello there!

So it's been awhile, again! I have been so crazy lately I haven't had time to think!

First things first! We did not get to take our trip to Aruba, sadly. We did, however, go to Chicago for four days, then up to Mackinaw City for 3 days! It was quite a change from our original plans, however we had just as much fun just being with each other.

The reason we had to nix Aruba is because I'm PREGNANT!! We are so very excited and cannot wait. I am currently 15 weeks and 3 days and we are due on March 13, 2009! It's Friday the 13th too, how cool! We will be able to find out the gender in the beginning of November.

My Mary Kay business is doing great! September has been one of my best months thus far. We are getting into the holiday season so I hope sales will continue to grow! I am also working for HMS again, just doing postcards. It keeps me busy during the week and it brings in a little extra cash. I've already paid off my student loan with the money I've made from HMS and Mary Kay. How great is that!

We are in the best season of the year right now. Sure I'm talking about Fall, I'm also talking about FOOTBALL!! I'm only doing two leagues this year and I'm doing well in one and not so well in the other. That's okay though because it's only week 3! We have quite a ways to go!

Well, that's it for now. The Monday night game is about to start and I need LT to score me some major points, even if he is hurt! Talk to you all soon!
